Viator Media signs an agreement to promote the Camino Maltés

On Dec 11th 2023, Viator Media entered into a new Collaboration Agreement with Xir Cammini, a representative organization for Malta’s pilgrim paths. This collaboration aims to promote the Camino Maltés, a segment of the ancient pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela, going from Mdina (Malta) to the Marsa Creek in La Valletta.

XirCammini is a Maltese non-profit organization dedicated to promoting pilgrimages, hiking, and faith-based travel, particularly along historic routes in Europe. The name, XirCammini, is a fusion of two words: “Xirca,” which means “society or confraternity” in old Maltese, and “Cammini,” which is Italian for “walks.”

The organization’s mission is to foster knowledge, education, and interest in pilgrimages and faith-based travel, primarily focusing on Europe's ancient routes. XirCammini welcomes members from all walks of life, including those with and without prior Camino experience.

XirCammini’s contributions to the preservation and promotion of pilgrimage traditions, along with its commitment to fostering intergenerational connections and cross-cultural dialogue, make it an invaluable resource for those seeking enriching and transformative journeys along Europe's historic pilgrimage routes.

For Viator Media, this agreement is a significant step towards their primary goal: compiling and promoting all the pilgrimage routes in the world through fresh and innovative storytelling, while advocating for a sustainable way of traveling – one that also fosters interreligious and intercultural dialogue, assisting people connect with themselves, with others, and with nature.
