Viator Media signs an agreement to promote the Pilgrim Paths of Ireland

On November 8th, Viator Media signed a new Collaboration Agreement with PPI, Pilgrim Paths of Ireland, a non-denominational representative body for Ireland’s medieval pilgrim paths. The collaboration aims at widely promoting the main five medieval Irish pilgrimage paths: Cnoc na dTobar, Cosán na Naomh, St. Finbarr's Pilgrim Path, St. Kevin’s Way, and Tochar Phádraig.

The PPI was founded in 2013, to oversee the development and promotion of Ireland's medieval pilgrimage paths, and consists of 12 community groups supporting specific paths. Thanks to their efforts, more than five pilgrimage paths are available to a wide audience. Covering around 124 km of Ireland’s most important medieval pilgrimage routes and sites, the Pilgrim Paths of Ireland are some of the most important pilgrimage paths in Europe, and perhaps in all of Christianity, because of their capital historical, cultural, and spiritual significance: Irish missionaries took Christianity to regions in Europe that once remained beyond the reach of continental missionaries, establishing the very roots of northern European monasticism.

For Viator Media, this agreement is an important step towards our main goal: collecting and promoting all the pilgrimage routes in the world through fresh and innovative storytelling, while advocating for a sustainable way of traveling –one that also fosters interreligious and intercultural dialogue, helping people get in touch with each other, with themselves, and with nature.
